Our pocket door frames are made in-house. All the wood used in the frame is pine. To provide strength and rigidity, two galvanized steel extrusions are incorporated into the frame construction. At the bottom of the frame, a metal plate is installed during assembly, allowing the customer to securely nail the pocket frame to the finished floor. Additionally, a rubber bumper is included so that when the door closes, it produces a soft, quiet sound. The track that supports the door is made of galvanized steel on a standard pocket door frame, while on a heavy-duty frame, it is aluminum.
